John and I were neighbors in high school. We packed into Thousand Lakes Wilderness Area for senior skip days and fished every lake that was thawed. We caught lots of trout and kept enough to eat. He died of leukemia shortly after.

I miss you John.  You were a kind person and always had time to talk to me.  I just regret we didn't talk more after graduation.
